From childhood, a personal interest in couture sewing marked the beginnings of innovative and accomplished interior decorator Georgina Rice's future career. Two decades later, her first travels to the Far East turned a personal passion into professional commitment. Her discoveries of new possibilities in fabric and design and a lifelong affinity for handcrafted wares led her to establish her first studio in San Francisco in 1985.

She visits Asia annually, and in the U.S., collaborates with a network of suppliers and craftspeople in Oregon, New York, and points between. She combines modern decorating approaches with old world techniques, creating spaces that her clients enjoy daily and for years to come. Her designs find expression in her company's dedicated on-site atelier, where veteran craftspeople create hand sewn curtains, shades, cushions, bedding, and slipcovers.
